Love crunching data and want to analyse the impact of a leading non-profit?

Experienced in turning data into funky visuals?

Lawyers for Net Zero is looking for volunteer(s) who are:

  1. Great at turning raw data into meaningful metrics.

  2. Able to turn these KPIs into visuals that catch the eye.

If you’ve got one, or both of these skills, then please apply!

We are a rapidly growing non-profit working with one of the most powerful sectors in UK society, namely the in-house legal community, to deliver significant climate action.

We have a vibrant group of volunteers supporting us, and are looking to add to this volunteer team.

The Role(s) – Impact Analyse and Data Visualiser.

This volunteer role is significant for us as it would be contributing to the development of our first Impact Report - which we plan to launch in the autumn. The role is fully remote.

  • Impact metrics and KPIs are particularly important to demonstrate value to multiple stakeholder groups including grant funders and philanthropists.

  • Get in touch with us if you’d like to use your skills to make a difference to the way we achieve our objectives in the immediate and long-term.

ROLE SCOPE

We require two related skill sets, but we don’t expect one individual to have both… but if you do that’s even better!

The ‘Impact Analyst’ role will support us to gather the data and turn it into meaningful metrics.

The ‘Data Visualiser’ will turn those metrics into great graphics.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll have a background one, or both, of:

  • Data analytics

  • Data visualisation

Ideally you’ll have worked in one or more of: small businesses, non-profits and/or entrepreneurial start-ups.

You’ll also have a track record of being proactive and delivering high quality work both personally and through a team.

We need you to be available to attend meetings during UK business hours and be fluent in English.

You’ll also be motivated by the opportunity to volunteer for a leading non-profit working to keep a liveable planet for all.

All our team members have a can-do attitude and are curious and creative. Team members typically ask constructive questions and approach all their work with a service attitude and growth mindset.

TIME COMMITMENT

  • The time commitment depends on if you do one or both of the data analytics and visualisation roles. We expect each role to require 2-3 hours on average a week over 1 or 2 months.

  • This also could be done as part of pro-bono hours.

The climate crisis isn’t going away, and we need you!
